Exploring Lumpini Park at a leasurely pace

Saturday night out on with Will and Jake was absolutely exhausting for Jess and myself. Once we managed to drag ourselves out of bed and convince our stomachs to accept our thai omelet (served with rice) breakfast. Results were passable. A copy of Shel Silverstine's Where the Sidewalk Ends made the morning infinitely more pleasant. Jess chuckled as I read several aloud... and then, a discovery! One my favorite unknown songs from a random cd of Irish music is called 'the Unicorn Song' and low and behold it's a Silverstine poem! All them green alligator and long-necked geese had been keeping the unicorns company in Silverstine's book and I never knew it!
After efforts at freshening up ourselves, we began the process of getting the boys to shift out of their beds and out the door. We didn't necessarily HAVE to, afterall we had separate plans, but both of them would have missed their respective buses and trains. boys.
Jess and I weren't in a particularly ambitious mood, but still we had a day in BKK and didn't want to waste it. Exploring a park seemed the best idea. We found one on a map that looked to be of a good size and near one of the skytrain stops. Perfect. Done.
Upon arrival, Jess took a nap and I, bolstered by curiosity, mustered up the energy to investigate the park. only took me about three hours ;-p Man is Lumpini a large piece of green space!
