Michelle and I had just finished exploring an Indian dress shop and dry-goods store in Little India, all the walking giving us quite the appetite. The ladies who owned the store were very friendly (good policy with customers that) so we asked their recommendation for good, inexpensive Indian food nearby. She directed us around the corner to the same place she had just picked up her own lunch and gave us instructions as to how to order. "Don't let them seat you or give you a menu" she said, "the inflate the prices for foreigners. Just walk right up and point out what you want and then take a seat. "
Sure enough, we turned that corner and my mouth at least, started watering at the delicious smells wafting our way from down the street. There were perhaps two dozen or so dishes set out with the fish special of the day on the grill just behind the counter. We each picked out a few meat and a vegetable dishes, we thought... ( a lot of what we were looking was guesswork and my marginal thai didn't help my much in malaysia ;-p), order naan (our favorite) and were seated.

our plates (banana leaves) for the feast were brought out still glistening with water. We knew this was the start of good things to come...

the dessert section, we eyed it as we walked past, but as it turned out we shouldn't have even bothered... there was no cranny in our tummies left unfilled!

And here the guilty culprit. So much goodness :-D

I'd say we put in a good day's work no?
